Mondayitis is a common problem for thousands of people who change their usual sleeping patterns over the weekend to fit around their social life.
According to fatigue expert Peter Simpson, your body doesn’t mind too much staying up late to party, then rolling out of bed late on Saturday and Sunday. However, it all catches up on Sunday night, when people struggle to get to sleep at the normal time and are woken too early with the alarm clock blaring.
The solution ... try not to alter your sleeping times by more than an hour or two at weekends and watch the amount of alcohol you drink.
