Hearing safety checklist

At work
  1. Keep your work area as quiet as possible.
  2. Ensure ear plugs are properly fitted and re-fitted regularly.
  3. Wear the right hearing protection for the work area, check what Class is required.
Outside work
  1. Turn down the volume, particularly if you are wearing earphones or earbuds.
  2. Always protect your hearing when using noisy equipment such as power tools and lawn mowers, no matter how short the duration.
  3. Protect your family from extreme noise at events such as concerts, drag car and motor racing or fireworks.
