Chill out

Heat stroke occurs when the body’s cooling system fails and the body
temperature rises to critical levels.

It is a major health threat in Australia and especially in hot climates such as the Pilbara.

If you are thirsty you are already dehydrated so match your water intake to suit your level of activity. Also try to stay away from caffeinated drinks and alcohol as they can accelerate dehydration.

Always wear your hat, sunscreen, sunglasses and long sleeve shirt when working outside and where possible, try to stay in the shade.

Chill out this summer and work smart in the sun.
