Short shadow alert

As the weather begins to heat up and you spend more time in the sun, you need to alter your working patterns to stay out of danger. UV rays are the strongest between 10am and 3pm and your shadow will be shortest during this time.

If you are working in hot conditions, here are a few suggestions
to protect yourself:

  • Wear protective clothing such as long shirts, long trousers, hats and sunglasses.
  • Remember to apply sunscreen regularly.

Check out the Pilbara Health Calendar for tips on working sun smart.
