Pilbara Iron's Biggest Winners

Prime Health's Biggest Loser programme has seen some amazing results at Wickham, Tom Price, Paraburdoo and Pannawonica with participants from Pilbara Iron benefiting from the lessons learned.

Tom Price biggest losers! Over a 12-week period, each individual was booked in for a consultation at 4 week intervals. Body mass, girths, blood pressures and blood tests were examined on each occasion. Goal-setting with dietary changes and exercise programmes were introduced and monitored and there were also special biggest loser exercise classes so that everyone involved could support each other.

"It was a fantastic effort by the participants and Prime Health Groups' health and wellness consultants, and Pilbara Iron personnel and families. This challenge was about getting the healthy body weight message out and it certainly did that with outstanding results," said Prime Health’s coordinator of health and wellness Paul Vuletich.

Tom Price (above) saw 37 participants finish the challenge losing a combined total of 96.8 kilograms. The winner lost a total of 23 kilograms and lost 13.7cm off the waist!

Paraburdoo saw 59 participants take part which was a huge effort with 25 coming from Pilbara Iron. The Pilbara Iron winner lost 11 kilograms.

Wickham saw 13 participants take part and the winner also lost 11 kilograms.

Pannawonica’s challenge is still going with 13 people signed up.

Congratulations to all who took part and made the huge effort to get their health on track. You are all winners!
